Meet Alex
Hi! My name is Alex, and I’m so glad you’re interested in breathwork!
A little about me… I’m a marketing professional turned certified breathwork facilitator, and I’m working on completing my neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) coaching certificate. For many years my external life looked like the average 20-something year old: navigating post-grad life, trying to excel in my marketing career, keeping a full social calendar, and pretending I had it all together. It was a facade and truth was, I was burnt out from all the masks I was wearing to hide my struggle with my mental health. The way I was living wasn’t supportive to my well-being and while each day I went through the motions of life, yet I wasn’t fully living. I did what I had to do to survive and keep up that image of having it all figured out, but I finally reached a breaking point. The way I was living was no longer sustainable and something needed to change. knowing I couldn’t live that way any longer. I was sick of the emptiness that filled me from not knowing who I truly was.
As I hit that turning point, the masks started to fall away and my truth became more clear. I took a step back from the corporate world to prioritize my mental and emotional health. That single decision, to put me first, changed the course of my life. I started a whole new journey of self-healing that opened my heart and helped me become myself again.
Finding breathwork in this journey was a game-changer for me; it helped me grow, heal, and transform in ways that I never thought possible. While we can’t rid ourselves of emotions or painful experiences, breathwork has made life so much more manageable. Breathwork has impacted my life so much that I decided to become a certified breathwork facilitator to support others through their journey.
My question to you is, have you ever reached that point of feeling so depleted, exhausted, and just plain frustrated that you want to give up? Every morning you get up, put on a facade, and accept that this is just how life will be. Yet, even with a possible habit of saying “screw it” and settling for this unfulfilling life, you still desire to feel better, to be the person you know you are deep down.
I get it. I’ve been there. So many of us feel stuck. We desire so much more from life, yet we don’t know how to make a sustainable change. Worst of all, we feel alone in the struggle because society has taught us not to talk about it.
The good news is you’re not alone, and you CAN make the change! Breathwork enables us to tap into the mind-body connection, shed emotional layers, and become the truest version of ourselves. We gain new perspectives that allow us to move toward the life we desire.
I wasn’t sure what it meant to fully embody happiness, confidence, and self-compassion until I started incorporating breathwork into my daily life. After seven months of using the power of my breath and digging deep into this work, I was asked, “what’s the biggest gift breathwork has given you?” I was in awe of my answer and the person I’ve become by doing the work.
While I have received many gifts from breathwork, the biggest gift has been building a trusting, loving, safe, and supportive relationship with myself. And that beautiful relationship is reflected throughout my entire life—how I show up, the relationships I have, the things I want to do, the person I desire to be.
Breathwork can help relieve the stresses of life, teach us to keep our cool in challenging moments, help us show up as our best selves, and so much more than the mind can begin to imagine. I have seen the benefits of breathwork in my life and so many others. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or a total transformation, my mission is to bring this work to people in an environment that feels safe and supportive.
